Hello,

I've been using foobar2000 on desktop for ages and tested the android version on
a Galaxy S5 today.

I enabled the feature to mask notification contents on lock screen.

With other media players, the notifications are shown anyway and I'm able to control the
playback from lock screen.

Foobar2000 notification is masked, I need to unlock the phone to control the player.

See screenshot :

202

I could not find any settings to display foobar2000 notification on lock screen.
I did not configure anything special for the other players.

Any ideas ? Is is a bug ?

Thanks.

With this option, you won't see sensitive notification content on your lock screen.
Open your device's Settings app .
Tap Notifications Settings .
Tap On the lock screen Hide sensitive notification content.

The url you gave is incorrect, but I could find it :

https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/6111294?hl=en

Anyway, that does not help me :
- I do want to hide notification contents, but
- I want to see foobar notifications from home screen.
- It is working with other media players without any special setting on the app notification.

I found this page about Android notifications :
https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/notifiers/notifications.html

Controlling Media Playback on the Lock Screen

Notification notification = new NotificationCompat.Builder(context)
// Show controls on lock screen even when user hides sensitive content.
.setVisibility(NotificationCompat.VISIBILITY_PUBLI C)

I guess this is not done on the source code (Could not check, as the code is not available), or there is something strange with the S5.

Any developer to validate/invalidate this assumption ?
Thanks.
