Hi. I'm new with Foobar mobile but after quick test I noticed there is no write access to External Storage using FTP Server. Regardless it's limitation of Android 5.0+ it can be bypassed. I hope this bypass will be implemented in a newer version but before this we can bypass it using simple Xposed module Marshmallow SD Fix - Root (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.balamurugan.marshmallowsdfix). Of course Xposed Framework and Root are needed but I suppose it's not a problem for most Foobar users.
Hope this temporary fix will help.

Upcoming foobar2000 mobile update addresses this by using the proper thing to obtain read/write access rights. Beta people should get it within the next hours. Rollout to general public expected next week.

Update with full read/write capabilities should be landing on your devices right now.

If you added music folders with an older version, you may need to remove and add them again to gain full write access.
