View Full Version : Files without 'Album', not appearing in Genre

[Windows 10, Foobar 1.0.67 (1.3.53) - do all tagging in Foobar]

Was noticing some files not appearing in Genre view.
For instance some 'lectures' were there, some were not.
I do most of my file locating via Genre. However, if I remembered a file had been added, it would appear via search function using, e.g., Artist.

Comparing the appearing and not-appearing files, I noted the files which did not appear were tagged but had no information in the Album field.
By copying Title info into Album: now all files appear in Genre view.

So, not sure if that is intended behavior.
It seems normal (to me) to have some files titled but without an 'Album' (e.g., lectures, single tracks).

Edit: I just discovered one file with no Album that appears in Genre. So the above is not correct. However, this file has two (; divided) genres, and it only appears under the second genre. Something confusing is happening but now I am less sure what it is.
