With foobar2000 running in the background (not playing music), my phone's battery is drained from 100% to 50% in a matter of hours. Eventually, the OS flags foobar2000 as the culprit in draining the battery and prompts me to shut it down.

I'm running on a Galaxy S6. This issue seemed to start happening about ~1 month ago. Anyone else bumped into this?

Thanks for your bug report.

I've added you to the beta tester list - to start receiving beta versions, go here: http://foobar2000.org/test-android

There is a known memory leak issue related to Android notification management (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3390280/android-memory-leak-in-notification-service) - which started affecting foobar2000 mobile with a change that I made about a month ago. It could be the reason for your troubles and it's been corrected in the current beta version.

Please install the beta version (1.0.88 at this time) and report if it fixes the issue.

I've been using the beta version this evening and all seems well so far. Thanks for the quick response!

foobar2000 has always been my favorite audio for Windows, and has quickly become my favorite on Android as well :)
