    Bug: fb2k doesn't honor DISCNUMBER / DISCTOTAL tag

    ::

    Hello,

    first post here.
    OS: Android 6.0.1
    DEVICE: Samsung Galaxy Tab S (SM-T805)

    Title says it all. Files are ogg-vorbis tagged using
    Mp3tag (see attachment). Sort order using fb2k mobile is:

    1.01 Isn't She Lovely (Disc 2, Track 1)
    1.01 Love's In Need Of Love Today (Disc 1, Track 1)
    1.02 Have A Talk With God (Disc 1, Track 2)
    1.02 Joy Inside My Tears (Disc 2, Track 2)
    1.03 Black Man (Disc 2, Track 3)
    1.03 Village Ghetto Land (Disc 1, Track 3)

    So Discnumber hasn't been taken into consideration.
    Same tracknumbers are in alphabetical sort order.

    Tracknumber, Tracktotal and Discnumber, Disctotal
    have all been tagged with two digits (01, 02, 03, etc.).

    Greetings, ...

    Re: Bug: fb2k doesn't honor DISCNUMBER / DISCTOTAL tag

    Thanks for the bug report.

    Unfortunately I can't seem to recreate this issue.

    When browsing by albums, properly tagged tracks are shown in the correct order.

    Just tested with a four-disc album, in Ogg Vorbis format; deliberately made filenames not including disc number. The order is shown correctly.

    In which exact view do you see this problem?
    If you browse by folder structure, the files are ordered by file names - this is by design; change your file naming scheme to work around.
    If you browse by albums - for an example, main page => album => <your album here> - the discnumber/tracknumber order is used like it should be.

    @Peter

    I don't browse by folder structure. Have uploaded a 2-disc album for you, read your PM, please.
    Maybe it's my fault (wrong tags, etc) but I hope it's not.

    Thanks, ...

    hello

    thanks Peter for lokking at this error.

    please have a look at my post "question for iPad (2017)" there you'll find how the album is sorted after transfer.
    my files are all "mp3" and tagged completely right (with prog "mp3tag"
    this wrong sortorder of the tracks appears on browsing with all possibilities (browse by album, by artist, advanced search - all possibilities)

    thanks very much

    @Peter

    No folder structure browsing. I uploaded an archive with a two-disc album and the exact folder structure this album is stored in my music directory. Read your PM, please.
    Could be my mistake nonetheless (Wrong tags, album art too big, etc).

    Thanks and regards, ...

    1.1.44 build 2 corrects this on iOS, if you're a beta tester you should get it already.

    Android version will be out shortly too.

    A full info reload of affected files is needed to prune the wrong info from the database; please toggle the affected music folder off and back on in Media Library settings.
