    SMB3 support for streaming.

I want to be able to lay In my bed, while using my iPad to listen to tunes that are located on SMB shares. Not Samba but SMB. Server 2012r2 SMB. SMB3! :-) Would be a killer feature for me.

Samba is GPL licensed, so Not Bloody Likely. Unless you know of another freely available SMB client library that we can use without licensing restrictions.

    I have no idea.
But there is a new player that support flac streaming via smb and it works fine. "flap player", works great. And its free, wich means I guess the client is free..
