foobar2000 mobile usage tips, read me first

In this post I will try to clarify foobar2000 mobile behaviors that may be confusing to new users.

Toggling between playback controls and browsing
The two primary screens can be cycled between with finger gestures.
    • Windows, Android: Swiping left/right anywhere on the screen flips between the two screens.
    • Edge pan gesture - swipe horizontally over the left or right edge of the screen to toggle between playback/browse screens.

Transferring music files to your device, quick and easy
    • Make sure that your device is connected to the same local network (wifi) as your computer.
    • Go to Tools [gear icon in the corner]
    • Utilities / FTP Server
    • Follow the instructions on screen. Enter the presented FTP address into your FTP client of choice, such as Windows Explorer or FileZilla.
    • You can now freely manipulate your foobar2000 music folders as if they were local folders on your computer.

How to load user-made skin files
    • iOS
Upload fbskin files to your device using iTunes file sharing or FTP. Uploaded fbskin files will show up on the "choose skin" page.
    • Android
At the bottom of the "choose skin" page, there's an "open" command that lets you add skin files from any location on internal/external storage, as well as Google Drive etc if available. Skin files will be copied to foobar2000's configuration data so you no longer need the files once they've been imported. To remove imported skin files, tap+hold the individual entry and choose "delete".
    • Windows
At the bottom of the "choose skin" page, there's an "open" command that lets you add skin files from any location, including any local folder as well as MS OneDrive. Skin files will be copied to foobar2000's configuration data so you no longer need the files once they've been imported. To remove imported skin files, tap+hold the individual entry and choose "delete".

Having trouble detecting your music on Android?
Some devices will not let us access your SD card by default. You need to go to device's settings, applications list, grant foobar2000 external storage access. The SD card should be detected fine after that.
