Android: embedded cover art greater than 4k wide doesn't load

    Android Foobar2000:

Embedded cover art greater than around 4k in its largest dimension doesn't load.

Separately: foobar2000 entirely ignores the system album art cache (shared by some apps like Play Music and Samsung Music) and separate cover art in the same folder as the audio, so only embedded artwork works at all.

    Update:

I looked at the files and the cover art itself has a maximum dimension of around 3200 pixels in the largest case - so yeah, it's less than 4k.
This seems like it's something to do with the embedded JPEGs themselves, as the same tools (fb2k on windows) were used to attach the album art for most of my collection.
The JPEGs were created by Lightroom 5 (I was shooting album covers on a copy table with my camera). They're pretty vanilla.
No hints why this is the case.
